Hi Everyone, and thank you Annmarie for the invitation, my name is Susan and not only do I knit but I'm a beekeeper, or was. The last two years, we've lost our hive to the colony collapse and DH says no more bees until they're healthy again. So now I'll just knit myself some bees. The picture is from last summer when the girls were really busy.

Wow, that's too bad about your bees. I'd heard that bee keepers around the country are having trouble keeping their hives going. Hope you have better luck next year, and a great start with your new "Bee"!
It's such a sad thing to hear about bee colonies all over the country failing. I hope the scientists can figure out really soon what's causing colony collapse. :(
Susan, we lost a hive this past year, too. We have one other hive, and I believe the girls have a good batch of honey made.
Hi Donna, We lost the only hive we have. So sad. The first year we thought we did something wrong but this year we knew. So happy to hear of healthy hives. Susan
