Winglets - a different take
Hi - I've done the winglets thusly:
- I'm doing the chart (not the written instructions) and the bound off sts stay on my needle and then I do the 8 sts for the edging ... on the way back I just kick that last st off. I don't count that winglet st as the first st. Sorry I can't take a better picture of them, but hopefully you'll get my drift...

I guess I'm not completely clear, Margaret. If you're _not_ counting that winglet stitch (the one that results after the second bind-off) then how are ending up with 8 edge stitches? When you say that the bound off stitches stay on your needle, are you then working that "k1" that Anne includes in the written instructions after the BO2? It would seem to me that you'd end up with 9 stitches before the first marker. What am I not seeing here? I'm intrigued...:)
you DO have 9 sts before the first marker, including the BO st - but on the way back (let's say you have finished row 23 and are doing the purl row 24, the LAST stitch on row 24 just gets knocked off the needle - since it's bound off, it's totally fine - my little winglets may look a bit different from the other picture, but they look fine to me - does that make more sense? ;o)
